Topographic Surveys
Many of the surveys I carry out are for proposed new house plots.
These surveys are often used by architects in order to design the proposed house or houses in 3D to fit in with the topography of the site. They are also used for flood risk assessment if the proposed property is near to water.
These plans can include levels and contours, cross sections, and any detail required including the position of boundaries, water courses, neighbouring properties, carriageways, tracks, existing utilities etc.
I use gps and a robotic total station to survey the site, and process the data in the office using n4ce software to create the drawings. The information is then supplied as 2D and 3D versions of Autocad dwg files and also as a pdf.
I usually also supply photographs of the site including some aerial images taken from a drone.
